Integrity to Self

I draw an oracle card at the start of every week to ask about the energies ahead and what I need to know.  Last week I pulled from Alana Fairchild’s Crystal Mandala Oracle Deck, my favorite deck. The card was #47 - Goddess Rhiannon & Amazonite, and  spoke to Integrity.

While I watched it play out in fascinating ways personally over the week, Fairchild’s interpretation felt  relevant to all of us as we navigate our lives:  “Integrity is your anchor to self. It is authenticity in expression. You experience your integrity as a feeling of ‘rightness’ when you are in alignment with yourself…”

Is integrity to self the same as integrity to our Soul?  I think so. We come in with plans, desires and contracts, and while we also have free will to choose otherwise, life has a way of trying to bump us back onto our Soul paths if we get too far off track. Yes, we can ignore the nudges, but we’ll ultimately be miserable because we know we’re not living our truth.

Raising my hand here, I learned about the importance of integrity to self by trying to please others. Most of you reading this know about it first hand as well.  As tough as it can be to work through this dynamic, at the end of the day, it’s necessary if you’re on a spiritual path. Because while we are social creatures who are always connected in some way to others, we are Souls here to grow more fully into our magnificent selves.  

Integrity to Self is everything.
